USA Cycling Pro Crit National Championship

In July, I had the opportunity to work again with Shimano Multi-Race Support and my good friends Brian and TJ at the USA Cycling Professional Criterium Championship in High Point, NC. It was a long day of races that saw rain during most of the day. All the racers were very well behaved which made our work pretty easy.

Pacenti CL25 disc brake CX wheel build.

Pacenti CL25 rims with SRAM x7 disc brake hubs. The wheel set was built using Sapim Race spokes and Sapim brass nipples. Both front and rear were 32 spoke 3X builds for durability. The wheelset will be used for endurance CX and gravel races.

Another Wheel Build

Another recent wheel build. Pacenti SL23 rim with black CX-Ray spokes, brass nipples and a black Powertap Pro hub. Wheel was laced with 3x on the drive and non-drive sides. The final build included a Schwalbe Durano+ 23c tire and a Shimano Ultegra cassette. This is going to make a great riding training wheel. The Pacent SL23 rim is 24mm outside width and 18mm inner width and are tubeless ready. I really like the 23c tire profile and how it fits on this rim width.

Recent Wheel Build

A recent wheel build where a client wanted to rebuild his Reynolds Solitude rear wheel into a Powertap hub. I used DT Swiss Competition spokes in a 2X pattern on both the drive and non-drive side. The original wheel was built with radial on non-drive and 2X on drive side.

Campy EPS on a Cervelo S5

Campagnolo Super Record 11 EPS on a Cervelo S5. It took some thinking to get the EPS unit mounted on the frame and still have two functioning waterbottle cages and not void the warranty on the frame. We ended up putting it in a saddle bag and drill a small hole in seatpost to run the cables throughout the frame. Voids the warranty of the seatpost but it is a fraction of the cost of the frame. Turned out very clean! More pictures to follow.
